Hearing reports that the QFRS held back a father that just wanted to try and rescue his 2 year old boy that ended up burning alive in his cot, on his second birthday in a house fire at beenleigh yesterday.

QFRS: Who the fark do you think you pricks are? Obviously you heartless cnuts don't have your own children. If a parent want to potentially give their life to save their child, no matter how grim the chances or reality is. ITS SHOULD BE THEIR FARKING CHOICE, NOT YOURS. no matter how suicidal.

This story hit me hard, my son is around that age and instantly the whole scenario played out in my mind with him in it....that poor little guy. The fear, the panic. Not actually understanding what's happening. I'm sorry the world is so farkin cruel little man. RIP.

My heart goes out to the family.

Whilst I understand the emotive side. I have kids.A further loss of life was apparently pointless.

Put yourself in the firee's place.Just farkin tragic all round.I would bet London to a brick that poor bastard

wishes he could have done more. Just sayin.

RIP indeed. Too sad for words

I know buff, I already pointed out it was probably hopeless by that point. I work closely with the brigade in my line of work and I've chatted with enough of them to know they have to make some sh*t calls and deal with some horrendous scenarios. Look they would have been in there themselves if they thought there was any hope.

Still don't think it was their call. Now that guy has to live with the what if? The 0.01% chance he could have saved him.

Its heart breaking and we really shouldn't be speculating. Just pissed me off and broke my heart. I don't even know them..

Reading the story further it seems the dad was out picking up the eldest child

The mum got the other four children out however the toddler was napping in a back bedroom and couldn't be gotten to as it sounds like the fire was in between the rest of the family and him

By the time the dad arrived home and realised it was way too late for anything and by the sounds of it very likely the boy had already died

I can understand both points

Either way it is a gutting situation for all involved

I just hope that the little one died of smoke inhalation while he was sleeping before the fire actually reached him and he didn't get subjected to the flames until he was already out of it

God it breaks your heart

On a less important note

Install new PC for client yesterday arvo
By that evening they had adware infections
Removed like 40 things with MBAM/AdwCleaner today
Wish there was a 100% effective security solution
oh wait

Bloody media, well that being the case fluff and having other children I guess they made the right call. He needs to be there for them.

Morally, the thought that anybody thinks they have the authority to stand between a parent and their child's life....just doesn't sit well with me. Bloody tough call.

Should look after that meat sack you wear panda. Sounds like you need a more life/work balance to keep the meat sack happy.

Have a two week detox with some fitness and relaxation and you will be feeling a million bucks chipper.

Words of wisdom from a fat piss head.;)

Yeah this week can suck a big one.

-Car accident (assistance) stress

-Arranging house to be built stress

-Fiancée lives 4 hours away for work stress

-Lost a precious hour and a half of me time working late

-Boss on my arse over semi minor things I missed on the day of the accident due to being spaced out

-Total misunderstanding by my dad in law who I live with, thinking that I was saying he's ripping me off on food bills when I was actually trying to offer to pay more to cover beer, (WTF no idea how), refused to listen to me until he was sober in the morning...very stressful

Driving to see the missus tomorrow, here comes another 900km! Will be good to relax down there.
