I know my car isn't the quickest car on the street. But I see no reason trying to prove to P platers that it's faster than them..

Plus I'm trying to buy a house a short way out of town..

Not a bike ride I would be comfortable with..

But I'm guessing you would still be zen even if it wasn't a P plater lol

I will get there one day

far out, it is so much fun flooring it and getting that boost rush.

11.8l/100 fuel economy?? get a prius then.

:P

I drove past a prius the other day and just floored it for no reason at all.

Just because I could.

Yesterday I had door knockers for Oxfam stop by and convince me to sign up for monthly contributions...I'm not pissed off about wanting to help out those who are less fortunate than me, but more pissed off at myself for doing it in that way. It's horrible to think, but on principal you never know in this day and age if it's legit or not, or if it's a well organised scam...so I'm pissed off at myself for not thinking it through properly at the time.

I used to be the supervisor for a marketing company.

A different organisation which does the same thing paid $350commission of which the boss (franchise owner) got 120 and the employee $80 per sign up and the marketing company got the rest

If u work it out the subscription was like $4.50 a week

So it took 78 weeks to pay back just the commission the charity was paying out and start making money for the actual cause

Sounds ok until u looked at their stats and found out the average person signed up for 32 weeks....

Nice people get sucked in

Oxfam might be different but I know most door knockers etc are on a similar commission amount/set up.

It sucks that charities are actually making other company's money and that's how they call themselves a charity.

We actually had one come to the door we didn't have any confidence in.. Rang the charity and they said that they had no doorknockers in our area..
