What pissed me off?

Had a look at the facebook page of "Who lived in Frankston?"

I remember the black and white photo's better than I do the colour ones

And - I still live there.

Ye they can't inforce that... Ya just ring em and say u did vote and where and they will put it down as an error because it's still person operated so mistakes are made.

They can't prove sh*t ... Hence why they will probably be changing it to a electronic system shortly I'd say

(Assuming sa is the same as the rest)

Panda for PM

Couldn't agree more.

It scares me to think that the media and the gullible are just focused on the fluffy insignificant crap, not the things that really matter like proper reform.

Our preferred PM was on TV this morning talking about all the fings that he finks the govt is doing wrong. When asked for his alternatives he had absolutely NFI. "umm our policies will be released in due course"

At least when Abbott was opposition leader his budget reply speeches etc. offered proper alternatives. Now there's nothing being offered or suggested, just the mud flinging that everyone seems to enjoy.

You just have to look at what Greece has just done to see where we are heading. That's truly fckn frightening.

Newman's defeat is a massive fail on all levels. I honestly think people are getting a shorter fuse as they get pushed closer to the breadline. The gap between the have and have nots has never been wider.

Look at my employer - GCCC. Our CEO is on 500k. 500k for a local govt CEO? Fkn ridiculous. Pollies all got recent pay rises based on 'independent' reviews but 20 thousand front line public sector workers get chopped or lost conditions under Newman. Then we had his leather phobia that triggered a knee jerk catch all legislation that denies people natural justice. Not saying the bikie crap didn't need to be addressed but he used it as a diversion imo. Should've been done in the background not beating his chest about it on a seemingly daily basis like a Sherriff from the old west.

So I think the message to all pollies is firstly get your heads out of the trough and spend money and do stuff that actually matters to the average Australian.

The electorate is becoming increasingly populace in it's out look.

Whats in it for me ? The joints farked and anyone who tries to do what's needed will

be trounced by voters.

Australia cannot afford this self indulgent rubbish.

The great Aussie disease has always been apathy "she'll be right"

No it farkin won't

Nope I disagree with you there Bomber. I think the clear message is to do as little as possible, don't add any new infrastructure, don't rock any boats or risk offending anyone even if it is remotely justified, and just let the debt continue accumulating. Especially don't sell underperforming public assets that are heavily unionised and are considered jobs-for-life for the slack degenerates that fill their payrolls.

I don't think politicians are paid enough and you've given a classic example. Why would a local govt ceo deserve double the premier of the state? Or the CEO of a bank or airline get 20 times what the prime minister of the entire fckn country gets?

Pay peanuts get monkeys. And we've got several parliaments across the country full of the bastards.

GCCC is the single largest local government in Australia I think.. It's a massive corporation.. But I still think 500k is too much for the CEO..

Moving forward to make things more cost effective I think seriously we need ministers for infrastructure and public works who are engineers and know the game.. We need ministers for health who are doctors and we need ministers for education who are seasoned teachers.. And to do this.. I'm starting to think politicians need to be paid more..

Hell I was really considering that maybe I need to put myself into the local gov election.. Then I realised that I get paid more than our councillors..

All these people on Facebook saying politicians should take a pay cut.. Drop 50k per politician yearly wage.. You save about 2million bucks..

So in a year you save not even a day of the interest bill we are getting slogged for state debt..

So.. I read somewhere or heard somewhere that labor was considering putting on 8000 public staff to replace the ones the Newman government got rid of.. Maybe get some more nurses back in health.. But everything is still going fine!

I'm still see fat that can be cut!
