Candles suck and are for hippies, the syringe definitely works, but needs a helper (and maybe multiple applications depending on how severe the build-up). Waxsol has always worked a treat if you're the lonesome sort like myself.

Ear candle ?

As an engineer I would have thought you'd understand why the ear candle doesn't work :)

Best thing for cleaning the ear up and especially if you have an infection is to get some olive oil and warm it up before putting it in you ear. Then plug it up with some cotton wool and leave it there over night. Next mornings wash it out.

The thing about earwigs is what they put the pincers on the wrong end.

Scorpions got around that problem, but theses suckers got left behind.

Lol.. One of the blokes at work swears by them.. Personally I don't do anything to my ears myself... The nurse at the GP's cleans em for me..

There are stacks of different things for cleaning ears but the syringe has been the most effective for me..

I can't remember but some of the ear 'drop' are peroxide.. Caused my ear to swell shut.. Painful as all hell..

The non peroxide ones are pretty easy going but I question if they do anything..
