I know it's courtesy to flash a road train that overtakes you to inform him that his rear trailer is safely past you..

I'd never let myself get stuck behind a truck, let alone get overtaken by one, regardless of the speed.

Too many chips in the windscreen and paint chips to be courteous anymore.

Haha dude you've never driven in far western qld or the Northern Territory in a work car with a GPS tracker.. Can't speed..

And once those big bastards are moving you let them pass.. You aren't stuck behind them as they'll just keep pulling away..

Edit: and stripes I hope you have some luck with watching your diet etc! Not good mate! Hit me up if you want some food ideas for stuff that tastes good and doesn't come wrapped in grease proof paper..

Thyroid is scary stuff mate.. But it doesn't take much to throw it's function out...

------------------

This diet was given to me by a friend that was (she won't mind m saying this)...... extremely large ......(I still couldn't bring myself to type 'farken fat' coz she's a friend).

It's called the Egg Diet -- maybe some people have seen it/used it.

It's a 21 day diet and I understand that with work and wot-not, this diet may be hard to stay on for the entire 21 days.........and in all honesty, I couldn't do the whole 21 and I'm home 24/7.

She is proof that it works as in three weeks, all I'll say is, she lost a hell of a lot of weight and now - when she sees her weight going up, she does the first 7 days and a couple of weeks later, doest the second 7 days and that takes her down to the weight that her Doctor is cumfy with and the ONLY exercise she does is walk from the house to the car, from the car to the consol at the servo that she owns.

In the last few weeks, 3 other people that I know have told me that they use this diet as well to keep their weight under control.

Have a look and see what you think

Thanks Don, always good to see what others use and find effective. I can see why she'd loose weight quickly though, the first week especially is a severely limited caloric intake. Might be a bit intense while working away. The doctors advice was to see a dietician, which given the results of my tests probably would be a good way to make sure I'm eating the right things to help remedy my current health issues.

Wife is a dietician stripey..

Her best advice is to avoid 'fad' diets.. Eat healthy food, smaller portions, more frequently to keep the metabolism going..

But in saying that I myself had a lot of luck not going no carb, but just 'carb curfew' where you don't eat carbs after lunch..

Whatever you do you need to set yourself up to sustain any weight loss you achieve..

Not completely cut 10 food groups and then put all the weight back on the minute you start eating them again..

Yeah definitely. Makes it easier when you feel like you're not missing out, as you're more likely to gorge when you stop dieting then.

My Fitness Pal to count calories. If nothing else it teaches you stuff. I've I went to sit down with a ginger beer and a bowl of beer peanuts. Until I realised that's was over 1200 calories. Yep one ginger beer and a small bowl of peanuts was just under half my daily calorie count.

Plus 15 to 20 k in steps in a day. And mate you are in your way to losing weight slowly and steadily and learning things on the way to forge better habits.

Stripes, glad to hear it's not as bad as u probably expected

Diet is such a hard thing, for me is the effort of preparing healthy food

I spent all day yesterday on food prep, not one but was for me ... I prepped all the dogs meals for the week and cooked all hudos meals for the week, but yet when it comes to preparing breakfast for myself I would almost rather starve than be bothered which is where you start eating sh*t...

If u can work out a routine or plan your meals out for the week then that's the best option I think u have. It's the only thing that works for me
