You know Dan that reminds me of having a tingle in my pinkie finger for an entire day a few months ago, like if your arm was going to sleep...never saw the doc about it though.

At least you're booked in for the tests man. Hope it's nothing a bit of diet and exercise can't fix!

Stripes how old are you mate.

I'm 43 been fit all my life. But when I left the Army 07 and missed out on all the exercise that entailed my fitness and health has diminished.

Been doing some reading and research and health is strongly linked to weight diet and exercise.

No surprises there. But I'm talking hormone production and balances. Doctors are going to put you on medication. Long term it won't fix it. It's a band aid solution only. You have to hit bottom and only you can make up your mind to commit to lifestyle changes.

Chin up mate your not the first person to find yourself in this position and you won't be the last. But what you do from here is entirely up to you.

Hit me up anytime mate. Mateship, mentoring or just an ear helps heaps.

Dont stress about it stripes it will only keep you blood pressure up. You'll be fine mate.

on another note hate taking a sickie because of being proper sick. Went to work last night had a chuck got sent home and another chuck.

It's not even self-inflicted by drinking to much, not happy.

Stripes mate I can sympathise, up until I had hudo, even during my pregnancy I could eat whatever I wanted and gym once every six months and I'd stay pretty fit.

Now... I went to the docs and my cholesterol is high. But for some reason I can't find te motivation to do anything about it... I love food and booze too much

But the Bucks gotta stop somewhere.

Maybe we should start a xr6 turbo weight loss comp thread lol

And do a weigh in every week like the biggest loser lol

The more u stress the worse u wil get just like angel said.

Just figure out what u can do every day to make small changes maybe ?

Stripes mate.. I do sympathise.. Been there..

As far as health motivation goes.. I'm exactly the same.. No matter what happened I just didn't get phased about my health.. Even had my own small cancer scare and had to get part of my bowel cut out.. It didn't really mean jack sh*t to me until I lost my old man to cancer..

I'm not the most slack person in the world.. But I'm not the fittest.. Also you sound like a bit of a techno-gadget person.. Grab yourself a fitbit or something.. That way you can at least track yourself which helps with motivation..

The biggest change for me losing weight was diet though.. Started to struggle with mental sh*t (depression etc) and the psych was the one who told me "sh*t food - sh*t head, Good Food - Good Head".. Been feeling a whole lot better.. but haven't gotten any good head yet.. Oddly enough my biggest diet change was restricting the amount of iced coffee I have.. (Down from two per day to about 3 per week).. And walking more.. Still eat out alot for lunch but force myself to walk to get lunch instead of driving.. and choosing subway over fish and chips..

Takes willpower to start.. But once you've started being a bit healthier you'll find your bodies reaction to sh*t lifestyle/food will be enough to keep you on the better stuff..

Panda that iced coffee is bad sh*t alright.

Swapped it for chilled lemon and ginger water.

Started dropping weight straight away.

Bottom line is eat well and making time to do some exercise

For me it's first thing in the morning otherwise it won't happen

Stripes your blood pressure maybe in part due to white coat hypertension.

Get your GP to do a BP check 10 mins after the first read.

Mine always comes down
