Just to put my old food science hat back on...the whole "carbs in everything these days" is a bit misguided. Unless you're talking about things being loaded with sugar and salt in lieu of fat, then yeah that's an issue.

Three macro-nutrients that make up all foods. Protein, fat and carbohydrates. Body needs all three to function - if you completely cut out one of them you'll be pushing up daisies in no time.

If you can be bothered do some research on the "if it fits your macros" diet. Works on the theory that you can eat practically anything as long as your total intake for the day matches your target levels of each three macros. Most dieticians have followed the same theory for ever but the IIFYM 'fad' has taken it mainstream and is the only diet that makes sense.

The whole clean eating thing is a load of crap too. E.g. have a chick here at work that lives on quinoa and chia and whatever other random sh*t is fashionable, and is the sickliest being I've come across. The common cold knocks her out for a fortnight while others have a bit of a sniffle and move on.

Spot on Tabs protein is protein fat is fat abd carbs are carbs. I've done iifiym and managed to go from 115kg to 79kg with a 6 pack from that and training regularly

Although being married cannot compete with any diet. Finally just got back into a good diet and regular gym session s

Wife goes to get me a carton of Heineken cans (Usually $59.99)

Last carton in stock and somebody has taken a 4 pack out. The dude offers to sell the carton minus the 4 pack and then attempts to charge 4 pack price($16.99) x number of 4 packs for the remainder. $85 for a "Carton" containing 4 cans less.
