Seen too many kids get really badly sick later on in life from basic things because their parents kept them in a hermetically sealed bubble early on. Edit: everything in moderation, though. Not saying they should play ooky mouth. Edited 21/11/16 06:36 AM by stubbietubbie

I find kids that are pumped full of drugs for minor things suffer the most later on.

Dont even get me started on the whooping cough vaxine while pregnant and all the hoopla I been through with that garbage. Sometimes drugs are actually not the best option

So we get even sicker next time a super flu comes around. It's a catch22. To have or not have.

(Since 2011 in the uk) with the theory it passes on immunities to the unborn baby. This had no prior research at the time and keep in mind the pertussus vax also has tetanus and diphtheria in it to. The drug company themselves state that there are ingredients in it which aren't safe for pregnant women. They have since proven it does pass on some immunities but they have NOT in any way done any studies to say that it hasn't hindered development in those children of the mothers who participated. The only studies done say it doesnt raise still birth rates. But with things like mercury in it (which were told to avoid while pregnant as the fetus brain is still developing) the lack of research was so overwhelming I made the informed choice to not get the needle, instead wait til after birth and get it then and pass on some anti bodies through breast milk when the babys brain isnt developing inside me lol. Also 80% of all whooping cough cases are transmitted by a sibling or parent to the child, so if we're all vaxinated then that cuts down that risk dramatically. There is a bucket load more data on the actual vaxine and reasons not to have it, but only data saying that "some" babies had a raise immunity to whooping cough after birth. (They have a whooping cough vaccine at 6 weeks old anyways) Its the same with the flu vaxine. No studies whatsoever have been done. But they wanna push these needles on pregnant women.Ironically this is the second flu ive had while pregnant, if the strain in the vaxine happened to cover my flu then I might be a bit less sick, but the baby is doing fine. Unless you have prior respiritory issues etc then the flu has no effect on the baby. Just sucks to be the mother lol.

I have a 2 week old daughter that is as immunized as little kids go. It's not much in case anyone was wondering. I also have a 4 year year old boy in kindy for 5 days p/f. I get a letter from the school when my baby is a week old saying the school has whooping cough. "Insert murderous rant about anti vaxxers here".

(Just wanna state I am usually 100% pro vax... I just have an issue when theyre pushing new chit with no evidence to say its safe) that's why we decided to pull huds out. Our kindy only accepts vaxed kids (unless they have a medical reason) but yeah that chit sh*ts me off. . Along with the parents why still take their little snot bags to kindy whilst theyre vomiting or snotting everywhere.Keep em home u selfish pricks!

I wasn't having a go. I'm always mad af when the docs want to skip to drugs and drastic treatments for my kids and imo I wouldn't want you to try unknown stuff either. My wife is a preschool teacher in a child care centre and the amount of parents that knowingly drop off sick kids is ridiculous.

I nearly had a go at a dad the other day dropping off his child (she was in another room to huds) but obviously sick! Like snotting everywhere, red cheeks, misserable, coughing. Firstly why would u wanna be away from your kids when theyre sick? I am like helicopter mum making sure he's ok. Secondly, thanks heaps for now making my child and another 7 sick!

I know people have work to attend but we all knew what we were in for when we decided to have a family. I know when my kids are sick and they stay home with me if they are sick on a school or care day. It pisses me off when my missus comes home and says "oh, so and so kid was dropped off today and they were vomiting" and then the next day I have gastro out the arse for three days. It's horrible cos I still have to look after my kids and the house and I always get "man" gastro or flu.
