Might even put myself back to Silver DM Will still control the technical aspect of the forum, though.

Whatever you do, don't get one of those HWS that use the flow of the water to light the pilot light. I got one earlier this year and it's useless, thanks to the Water Authority "pressure managing" our block of units, there's not enough flow in my bathroom tap now, so I have to turn the shower on - and waste water, the exact opposite of what these idiots are trying to prevent - just to get enough pressure to light it up. I've already done the usual steps like remove the "restrictor ring" in the tap and was told "good luck" by a plumber friend when I asked what they would do if they found low pressure, as it's a block of units and one person complaining means SFA to them. http://www.watercorporation.com.au/water-supply-and-services/ongoing-works/water-pressure-management What is pressure management? Pressure management is one of our strategies to help reduce water loss. Once complete, it will help us save more than 10 billion litres of water every year – the equivalent of 10 Domain Stadiums in Subiaco, filled to the top of the goal posts. The program will also help reduce supply interruptions and enable us to provide a more consistent pressure during peak demand periods. What are the benefits of water pressure management? Managing the water pressure will help the pipe network to last longer as well as save around 10 billion litres of water each year. Why are you investigating my suburb? Suburbs are assessed and prioritised based on the water pressure they receive, the number of leaks and breaks in the pipe network, the overall water use and the suitability of the area. If your suburb is identified as a high pressure area requiring works, you will receive notification approximately six months in advance. I have a better idea Water Authority, use some of those profits you make to actually do your job and maintain the infrastructure, instead of stop gap measures, you overpaid underperforming morons. Posted 04/08/16 03:40 AM Share Posted 04/08/16 03:40 AM External HydroPower - Bosch www.bosch-climate.com.au/products...hot-water/gas-hot-water/.../external-hydropowe... Bosch HydroPower systems use the energy created by water flow through a small turbine to ignite the burner and begin the heating process. ... This eliminates the need for a standing pilot light or electricity.... The principle for this revolutionary ignition system is to create an energy ... Basically when turning the tap on, the water pressure going through the pipes spins a turbine that ignites the pilot light, as opposed to most older gas types having a pilot light continually on. The problem is, if the water pressure is too low, it won't spin the turbine enough to light the pilot light which lights the gas and gives you that nice hot water you need. It's just a piece of shit electronic one with no pilot light that I can see and the instructions on the inside of the service panel just say to be careful of electricity...
