Changed the oil in my wife's outback for the first time today.

Burnt my hand on the exhaust manifold!!!

The oil filter is surrounded by the exhaust (heat shielded) but even the heat shield was bloody hot!!!!!

Lesson learnt, next time I wear gloves ☺

Ironically

I was stepping off the bottom step and the paint roller pole rolled under there while I was up the ladder and I stepped on it and bam lol

Pain scales = 10/10 for the first 10 mins then about a 9 for 30 mins

Then since I have plenty of practise by now on these matters of had enough wine to not be able to rate it on the pain scale

Not looking forward to Tommorow lol
