Brisbane City is the largest, but yeah your point still stands. Know quite a few in mid-level management there that get paid more than any politician in the country and they do sweet fck all!

Newman's history as an engineer in the army made him perfect for churning out tunnels and infrastructure as mayor of bris and then premier. Without a lot of the transapex infrastructure that he started in brisbane the place would be a friggin mess right now. Yeah the tunnels made huge bloody capital losses but that didn't cost the taxpayer a cent, was a very cunning concept that worked exceptionally well.

But his don't give a fck attitude doesn't wash well with us stupid voters. We like them to speak softly, never upset anyone and say warm fuzzy things.

The Howard government has a lot to answer for, for giving out handouts and tax breaks that were long term unsustainable.

Now current governments are in trouble trying to take them away.

IMHO we should have a flat tax system and increase the GST to about 25%.

The more you spend the more tax you pay.

Would this also go for buying houses and new cars?

What about food with no GST.

Probably the most pissed off I've been in as long as I can remember right now ...

We heard a racket down the end of the house and sprinted up to find a distressed and half asleep lilly and a trail of what I can only describe as fish guts rotten smelling brown liquid everywhere !!!

A cat has come in the doggy door and attacked a sleeping lilly in the laundry of our home ...

She hasn't got any marks etc that I can see, she's just very distressed and u can tell she's hypo from adrenalin ...

I hate cats at the best of times and this one I think it is would be the only cat that hangs around here ... When I find where it comes from its owners are getting a Fhukn bollocking from me and if they continue to let the I <3 Bananas feral stupid Kunt of a cat out at night I will be snapping it's neck and leaving it on they're door step to find one morning.

Even better I hope it comes back in six months when lilly is 30kg and as broad as a semi and fharkn rips the thing to sh*t!

I am always zen calm fluff but this sh*t just pisses me off !!!

Inside our home ffs ...

Hey fluff that sucks! Hope lilly is okay!

Ever considered a dog door that detects your pets microchip and only opens for them?

Was going to suggest something similar, but if the doggy door or even the rest of the door is partially see-through, what's to stop a curious young pup going up to the glass/plastic/whatever to have a closer look at the strange animal outside? The door will then detect the pup and let it out or the danger in.
