No TA position for me thank you.. I can't deal with 40 degree days and manual labour. I am toooooo fat for that sh*te.Yes I know it would do me good, but I am 40 this month and I am too old for that sh*te Tim.My old man is a sparky and I did do my N3 and N4 college certificate in South Africa to be an electrical engineer. however I really do not know if I want to go down that path really. When you have a wife and two kids, I don't think 4 & 1 is an option. you would come back from a 4 week stint and the first session you have with your misses would leave your DICK limp for the rest of that week. not worth it. I think 8 & 6 would be good, but 2 & 1 would be okay.

It is very difficult and definitely not for everyone.. Big sacrifice There's a reason why 13 have hung em selves this year so far.. 2 and 1 is virtually non existent for electricians. But also the better the roster the worse the money.. You're taking more of the year off unpaid

What's the point of doing 4 & 1 then.Would you not take the 2 & 1 and have better pay than the city jobs?
