@ Dan. I am in the same boat mate. Covering for someone else that is on holidays.

Getting too stressful and had 48 jobs in my queue. Normal they sit between 20-30.

Others have 15-20 jobs in their queues, but that is because they get the easy jobs.

when they can't get a job done, guess who has to do it. The go to guy........

anyways I have applied for leave and will have the 19th and 20th off...... long weekend. cant wait.

When you back in Town Dan? maybe organise another cruise? did that reduce your stress levels or not?

I am assuming no, because you went to bed late. :P

Hey I'm that go to guy also.. And not just for the company I work for..

Up to a certain level of government I think they actually say 'Oh it's f*cked up.. Should we call in panda now..' Then some bsatard says 'Nah.. We'll just let it get a bit more f*cked up.. Then call him'

hahahahahaha, I know the feeling all to well. sh*ts me to know end, but because of the fact that I am a persevering type of guy that I am, the job gets done right.

Time to change jobs I reckon. Who has a job available on the mines for truck driver or something to that effect.

I have HR license. maybe that is what I need. change in scenario....... :(

mate I once considered the same thing and got warned off.. I was told that if you have an active brain you will go stir crazy driving a dump truck in the mines..

I always wanted to be a grader operator.. Be like icing a cake.. Imagine how smooth and awesome I could make the haul roads..

^This, Back in the day I would jump on a truck or excavator over lunch breaks/if there was an issue with the machine and after 40mins I was just about stir crazy.

Certain people fit those roles certain people don't.

lol. great minds think alike is all I gotta say NHASP.

But surely going crazy would be better than sitting in a office bashing your head against a wall.

there really has to be something else out there better than what I am doing now.

I no longer enjoy my job. It is more of a task/chore to put food on the table.

I don't get paid enough to put up with this sh*t that I have been dealing with lately. I know that driving a truck, I would most probably get paid more as well which means I could do more to the XR6T.

What would you do Luke? There is no way to move up in this dead end job as the IT manager ain't going anywhere.

Im in a similar boat, but I have recently been weighing up the risk/reward ratio of my current role. The work is no longer inspiring but the pay is good, hours are flexible, location is convenient etc etc so I'm at the suck it up and get on with it phase.

I have an interview tomorrow for a role over the production side of the fence but i'm wondering if i'll be going from the frying pan into the fire if I move.

120k a year

I could handle that as long as I didn't have to do any 'actual' work

Would you mind if I took it Marco

lol
