Thanks for the support fellas

But no I'm not ok

I can't even keep it together to drive, I'm not focused at all, I'm just lost 5 days have felt like an eternity, I don't know what to do or whom to turn to. It just feels like I'm not here anymore, when in all honesty I'm really not

I know venting here seems in appropriate but I need to get my thoughts out of my head

If writing stuff in this thread helps then keep writing. A lot of us have been where you are atm and the old idea of keeping problems to yourself is absolutely bullshyte.

Find someone, anyone to talk too and as I said, vent your anger here.

&

Hang in there......

It's entirely appropriate mate. It's what the thread is for, be it little problems or major ones. Those of us who have gone/are going through dark times will understand most of all, and everyone is here to help each other, not just with cars!

Vent away mate! That's one of the things I like about this forum, it actually feels like a community of people who actually give a shìt! We're all here to help you in whatever way we can, even if just to allow you an avenue to gather and express your thoughts and feelings :)

Its really great to see some support and compassion going around here, I've only been a member for 6months and thought you were all a good bunch of lads but you have all shown your true colours and its quite humbling tbh.

Blokes dont talk enough and find it hard to do so kudos for having the guts voice your feelings Matty. Everybody is spot on, things have a funny way of working themselves out you just need to hang tough. The missus and I split up for a couple of months about 5 years ago when I was your age(yeah I checked your profile...) and now were married and have a 4 month old son. Things will work out if they are meant to mate.

The best thing you can do is try and clear your mind a bit cause it sounds like its just swimming. Try to devote your mental energy to moving forward rather than draining it with negative thoughts. Sounds easy but we all know its not.

And it's most certainly not inappropriate to vent here, if this is where you feel comfortable to do so then vent away. Clearly you have the support here. Id be happy to catch up for a beer or something if your in the Brisbane area and want to chat to somebody outside your circle of friends which can sometimes help as we have no preconceptions about your situation.

I feel sorta awkward now for wantin to rant about miniscule things :(

Don't ever assume what you consider to be difficulties in your life are less important than the difficulties other people are having.

Little things can quickly compound into bigger things and have very negative effects.

Feel for you Matty.

One thing I found that helped me greatly was getting in contact with a good mate that I'd only see occasionally.

I'd known the bloke for years and considered him a close friend, but we moved in different circles etc and he really didn't have much to do with the misses. As such I was able to use him as a great sounding board, spill my guts and frustrations out to him and was able to be myself - was no issue with regards to the female involved as he wasn't part of that bit of my life - wasn't in a position where he had to be diplomatic, feel like he was getting stuck in the middle of something and I had no need to hold back etc.

Hold in there Matty.

Know where you're coming from, went through a really bad break up after a 3 year relationship about 3 years ago, tore my life apart at the time but everything runs its course and does get better mate!

100% with Raband, get in contact with an old friend, someone with an outside perspective.

And another piece of advice is to keep busy! Don't sit around at home reminding yourself of everything non stop. Go catch up with some mates, voice your feelings, the load is so much lighter when it's not all on your head.
