Imagine if you got done for speeding once and then everywhere you drove you had a cop following you watching you, or you shop lifted once and everytime you went to the shops you had a cop following you, You would scream harassment!I really respect you ratter, I would bring my car to you in an instant if I lived in Victoria so don't take it the wrong way, but I will never support the Death Penalty for any crime. There have been too many people already sentenced to death and found innocent at a later date and a large number on death row found innocent luckily for them before the sentence was carried out. It is never OK to kill even a single innocent person. Only recently (as in several months ago) I read of a black man in the US who had been pardoned while on death row. He had been sentenced to death around 20 years ago at the age of 17. He was found guilty or raping and murdering two prostitutes. The entire time he maintained his innocence. An elderly white man living nearby had a guilty conscience and admitted his crimes on his deathbed including the location of a third victim. Now, you can say the guy was targeted because he was black and lived on the streets (which he probably was, back then it must have been the black guy right?) and that times have changed but that doesn't mean it won't happen again. ^^ 100% agree with Ratter.Dont blame the Police. Bring back death penalty for extreme cases. The amount of money this scumbag will cost the taxpayer to live out the rest of his life in jail is BS.I agree the cost is an issue, but as above, how would you feel if your wife/girlfriend was wrongly sentenced to death and found innocent after she was dead?I know things like child rape and serial killers are huge crimes but, and the next two paragraphs will undoubtedly be controversial, I think a lot of people become emotionally involved in these cases and this is what drives the desire for death penalties. If a Judge sentences a person to death who is later found innocent, would you find it acceptable to then sentence the judge to death for murder? If yes, how likely is it then that anyone would be sentenced to death? If no, why should there be no penalty for that particular form of killing? For those outside NSW, you may not be familiar with it, but earlier in the year, a young Brazilian man was killed by a combination of excessive tazering and asphyxiation by multiple police officers. At no point did he pose a threat to anyone other than himself (he was tazered from behind) I firmly believe at least the primary offender should be charged with manslaughter for his death. Why should police and judges be indemnified for killing someone?Everyone has opinions and this is just mine and my reasoning. Anyone else care to share?

I have a friend who attended the call and was on the scene and the guy was being incredibly violent to police officers and resisting arrest. Its not as if they walked up to him, said stop then tazered him. Still the guy who tazered him 5 times when he was on the ground handcuffed is getting sacked but definitely deserves criminal charges

Based off the CCTV (some of which is on YouTube) he was always running away from them in what was probably a drug induced psychosis. Being in the drugged state he was (which was his own fault though) I'm not surprised he panicked when hit with tasers and capsicum spray and batons. I'm not defending the guy for taking drugs either, he was a moron for doing it (from what I've read it was a reasonable dose) and at the end of the day he paid for that high with his life. If he hadn't taken the two packets of biscuits he probably would never have crossed paths with the Police.
