common prob with dodgy cable?

I did crack the plastic clip around the 4million pin plug and a bit of super glue got it back on but I was a bit worried I had damaged it when I cracked the housing

is it obviously supposed to play audio from iphone -icc with this plug/cable ?

next q why the feck did ford put it in the centre armrest pain in the ass to connect the phone and then hurk the cord up so then the phone sits in the cup holder and then squash the lid down with cord inbetween so it doesnt retract

Hahaha yeh that last bit is half the reason they fail, it is the first point of call for this type of issue. If the cover has come off the connector (also common) fair to high chance its stuffed on all falcons ba bf fg 1 and 2 any cable that's plugged into the phone is used for audio only. Except fg mk2 which is bluetooth audio capable

I assume it was originally designed with iPods in mind that would sit in the little hammock and rarely be removed, not iPhones being plugged in and out several times a day.

Jesus...to your earlier question on bluetooth audio on the FG, no they don't. Only for the phone function.
