White looks awesome. But as mentioned above if your considering matte try plastidip first cause if you don't like it just peel it off. $50 and no harm done. I sold my 18"s this week with good tyres for $900 cash so its a risk painting the wheels and trying to sell them later on.

These are my 19's plastidipped. They're advanti fusion if you want to see what they were like before plastidipping them. So far they've lasted a month and about 1200kms and the only issue is taking the wheels off rubs out the plastidip around the wheel nuts

Thanks Stifler.

Yeah Weiner it's something different it only looks good because of my cars colour.

Bellato I'm considering the Plastidipping I was reading the Plasti Dip thread and alot of positive feedback. Seen a couple videos too, I'm really considering it. Did you order them online or did you actually go in the shop?

Gloss black wheels get dirty and lose their shine real quick.

You can have a clear coat applied, protects the paint against fading and from chemicals, brake dust etc.

Just don't go too many thick coats of plastidip around the centre and wheel nuts shouldn't hit..its not exactly thick stuff anyway so if your wheel brave hits when putting on the nuts you've gone too thick IMO lol. Either that or put paper between wheel and wheel brace so no rubbing happens when you do it.

But for rim choice I reckon white. Black will be dirtier quicker if you ask me (unless 4wd'ing and throwing mud round lol) Black in general is a pita to keep clean.

Hey mate I used 2 can's and ordered online through caswellplating in Melbourne, can't find the stuff in Canberra. Cost me about $60 posted off the top of my head. I think I hit them about 15 times but it took the first 4-5 coats to cover the wheels. I wanted to go as light as possible to ensure it didn't come out rough.

Trust me shyfrd it's not a thick coat at all I just have really small wheel nut holes and the socket just rubs sometimes. If I did it again I would plug the holes up and then cut it around so its not in the whole like you said. The stock wheels have much bigger wholes so no issues there

oh they're awesome after a wash, but with Melbourne's weather and brake dust they get dirty straight away.

Trust me, matte black isn't much better lol. You think it won't show dirt much but it does!
