Currently I going mad trying to decide whether to trade up to a FG F6 or GT 335 , noting that FPV have annouced a inter cooled GT early Sept with the promise of wider wheels and more watts - no sure on price . I know the 5.4lt 315kw is what a straight 6 is to the F6 and the comparison is unfair - but given I expect that you have both had the opportunity to drive both cars back to back - would either of you reconsider your purchase ? I also agree with the earlier replies - Winter White with black wheels is the new black - especially as your F6 looks like apart from the porn wheels looks like it has had some suspension work - Bravo A++++

For me, I've never really been a V8 man, so the appeal of the GT is somewhat limited. I have no regrets purchasing the F6 (my 3rd turbo FPV).We all know the performance facts and figures of these cars (stock) and both are a great drive, but for me the F6 'feels' quicker. Alot of this has to do with the way it delivers the power (this is only exaggerated when modified). The GT has a very linear power delivery and can end up feeling a bit boring IMO. Dont get me wrong, the GT still has plenty of poke and to be honest I could probably drive the GT quicker than my F6 but it just isn't as exciting. I dont do track days, I dont go to the drags, I just drive my car on the street and for that the F6 is more enjoyable. If you are lured by the sound of a V8 then I would say its a no brainer... get the GT.The other consideration is also cost. Assuming you are buying new (or at least like for like in second hand market) there is circa $10K difference between the F6 and GT, and more again if you opt for the GT-P (worth it IMO, the brakes and seats are definitely better). This can be alot to justify especially if you plan to modify the car aswell. As I mentioned earlier, it really is personal choice. Each has their own appeal. Take them both out for a test drive and you'll soon make up your own mind as to which way to go.

TER80D the pictures were shot on an entry level DSLR that I lent from a friend. It was a Nikon D5000 with the standard 18-55, so nothing special. A little bit of love in Photoshop and that's the result.

I have driven a GT335 (stock) but the SC 5.0 was only just coming to market when I was shopping for a car so it wasn't really on the cards, plus the aftermarket scene for the 5.0 was almost non existent. Pricing for the SC 5.0 is alot better now plus the tuning scene for them has come along way in 2 years.

Spinning Donating Members 348 Member For: 15y 6m Posted 15/08/12 08:13 AM Share Posted 15/08/12 08:13 AM Hello PalyrzThank you for your 'neutral & balanced' reply .. I agree - they are both great guys and pleased that they both in the Ford camp.. Reading the forum I get the feeling that whether the F6 or GT - they are now the domain of the younger driver - whom seeking to ramp up the KW , and is seeking to move on from one vehicle to the next after modifications .. - not that there is anything wrong with that .I am and have been a little different - having owned over the years several GT 's - initial a GT and then many years later a restored GT Phase 11 - in white ...........About 4 - 5 years ago I was seeking to get back into a GT - and my son , convinced me that I should drive a F6 before I made the decision . I did , and purchased the BF FPV F6 Tornado in manual - and look it . I vowed then, I would never go back to the V8 , although as you say - once bitten by the sound , it is hard to give it up .. Well that was until I drove the SC V8 GT in Winter White - with stripes and in auto - Opps I said it - auto !!!Like you , I only drive the car on the street , and mainly as a weekend car and not as a everyday drive - so , the reason the GT appeals - is that , it brings up all those memories and that sound is to die for .. Even you 're just droling around , the sound of the SC as it builds up ends a tingle up your spine - however - evenm in stock trim the F6 and it's OMG power on boost - is something you can never discount .Agree - back to back - the F6 is easier to drive and drives closer to a sports car - I felt that the GT was a little heavy over the front and reminded me somewhat of the boat - 1969 Ford GT of yesterday year . I would hate to get the GT in a spin - even Mavrick from Top Gun would struggle to bring it back - LOL ..I would be pleased to learn from your experience - whether you would recommend buying new - F6 and leaving it as stock - or as you say - pick up a 2010 / 2011 F6 and then visit Nizpro or ??? for a tune to around 320rwkw ?It is interesting - apart from the discussion on wheel size recently due to the changes to the GT Panther - no one has spoken about their insurance issues - when they mod their carsAgain - what you have done with your F6 is fantastic - and you are no doubt very proud of your achievements - Would you recommend anyone would be capable of the instal as your have done - or given the value of the mod' - best to take it to a recommended mod house ?.Look forward once again to your replyMany thanks in advance
