Hi,

Not sure about this.

I notice alot of BA's BF's typhoons on car sales, that don't have the FPV badge in the bottom left corner of the steering wheel (mine has one)

Are these fake FPV's ??

I did spot a cheap typhoon a few weeks ago, and then read further on to find it was a mock up from an XR6 T.

Or didn't all the models come with this badge on the wheel ??

Thanks

Fpvf6335 are you meaning the badge on the leather wheel not on the horn pad?

BA and BF MkI had the chunky wheel as an option which included the badge.

On BFMKII the sterling wheel was chunky as standard minus FPV badge on the leather wheel.

EFSIX, if your car is a euro IV you should be able to just go to spare aprts and order one. If its Euro 3 then it had a ford badge. I looked for badges to fit but only came across stickers that sat on top of the badge (and not very well either)

Hi,

yes the badge is on the leather, not the horn pad.

So the little FPV badge on the leather (bottom left corner of wheel)

So was it optional steering wheels ?

The Euro specs are emmissions specs. At some point in 2010 (July 1 I think) the Federal government tightened emmissions regulations. A Euro IV car has slightly better emmissions than a Euro III car. It was also the reason the XR8 was dropped. Ford couldn't engineer it to meet the Euro IV requirements.

Ford also used the Euro IV to start the FPV build numbers again. Basically, these are all of the FG 'models':

FG MkI Euro III

FG MkI Euro IV

FG MkI Upgrade Euro IV (happened late 2010 adding extra standard equipment; while not an official model, all insurance recognise as a 'new' model)

FG MkII Euro IV
