I am also interested in one of these from Harrop. Would they suit circuit work? I got blag flagged twice today at Wakefield Park with slicks on the back, closing in on 1min08's. The standard diff cannot cope even with the breather/catch can set up I currently have.

What oil is required?

Interested to know if you have tried the Amsoil yet and if so how did it compare to the others?

Also I was told that if doing circuit work the Kaaz is a better option but must be setup correctly.

I tried the Amsoil at the circuit yesterday and it was no better or worse than the 4 other synthetic oils I have tried. Was fine at Marulan but at Wakefield for the long left hander fish hook, diff oil was leaking onto the exhaust causing a heap of smoke. Don't want to fork out big $. How much is the Kaaz?

Give Con at Diff Technics a call as I did not get a price but I'm sure he said it was around the same price as a true trac

I get my kaaz oil for just under $100 for two litres. Its 80w90 fwiw.

have you tried ULX gear oil,its used in all the heavy earth moving machinery and is fine for our diffs.

That's double the price of the Amsoil

yeah its pricey but after using Redline,Royal purple,Castrol and Sin I can say that the kaaz is superior to them(not hugely but noticeable) in my diff.Havent used Amsoil but after hearing the results above on the track it seems its just as good as alot of the others.

TBh,without an oil cooler its going to be poo uphill,I mean I didnt hammer my car at Mallala so going by the thinking you drive alot harder than me on a circuit track im not sure even the kaaz will hold up.I really think it needs to be a 80w140 with a oil cooler/pump setup or just persist with cleaning up a mess and topping up alot.

Thanks, but the time was set on 2nd hand slicks and E85. Car is capable of 7's!

Slicks are the cause of the diff overheating too I reckon.

The guy I used to get my car serviced through used to build ford race cars for pro drive I think anyway he always fitted kaaz LSD s and I don't ever remember seeing a diff cooler when I was poking around do if the LSD Makes any difference heat wise

Was that with cars still running the std cradle, the design gives no airflow and is one of the added things nelsonian has against him.
