Does anyone know what eaton diff I would need by part number to buy truetrac from the us. I have looked around its half the price, I was told 1050 but no part number. So looked around and found few part numbers and I think it might be one these.

EAT-913A589

913A586

EAT-913A-500

I have found them in the states for $450 + shipping . Which is anywhere from $112 to $280. The prices are from summit racing

If your upgrading to hold more power check the specs of the ones in the states.. Alot of the eaton diffs in the states are HP rated while the true tracs are KW rated.. Just worth checking if it's a high performance application.. There is a reason true trac diffs aren't cheap..

I want to change it due to the LSD wearing out, seeing truetrac is a mechanical LSD instead of a clutch pack it will never wear out. The price differents isn't anything to do with it, what I looked up Was part number for part number just shows we pay $470 bucks to the government or someone for nothing. I don't belive the diff guys are ripping us off it's that they are getting ripped off and passing on the price. So if anyone could help me find the part number I will buy one from the states

From another forum we are discussing the same thing

The EAT-913A500 is the correct part number for the XR6 turbo truetrac centre, it has been machined to suit the Australian diff set up

and on there web site they are priced at $1099

here is a link if anyone want it

hope this helps

Its my understanding the one from Australia is rated in kw the one in the states is horsepower so the Aussie is rated higher I have seen people use the cheaper one from the us without issue

some more info from another forum

"I just spoke to Julian at harrop. They are $1395+ gst ex freight. He said that they are around $50 freight to Perth, so that's the most you'll pay. I asked if we get 10 buyers, would you match the $1195 special price that was advertised a few months ago. He said that he will look into it, and once we have solid numbers, he'll see what he can do. So they are willing to bargain, and once we have numbers, let's see if we can get them for $1000-$1100

With regards to the difference of the two parts no one seems to know. I would say there would have to be a difference. VPW sell them cheaper so may be bringing in their own stock and machining them to fit the Dana housing. Please not the prices do not include gears and is supply only for the centre

All I can say is they are well worth the $$$. Mine is smooth and quiet and gets power down fast. Add some superpro comfort diff bushes and Bilstein shocks and it becomes a great rear end setup.
