Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to know what gauges most people on this forum put in their car. For instance obviously everyone puts a boost gauge, but what other gauges do you also put, for instance oil pressure, air fuel, trans temp etc..

Im interested as Im getting a tri pod and still yet undecided to which 3 gauges will provide me with the most vital and relevant information I need to know about my car.

cheers! :icon_ford:

The necissary ones (I think) are boost and oil pressure (will let you know if your oil pump is failing). Another one is oil temp (as this is a lot different to water temp) and a WIDEBAND A/F gauge. Dont bother with narrowband.

Otherwise just go with the ones that plug into OBD2 port and it will do everything excepts AFR...

Narrow band has a smaller range that it can read where as wide band has a bigger range!

The wide band as it says on the ebay link- "Will read Air fuel ratios in the 10:1 to 20:1 range for gasoline engines."

I bought these gauges-Xtreme Gauges after seeing a pic of Qik1's car had one and he gave me some info on it. I bought the dual gauge setup and have at the moment Vac/Boost with radiator or head water temp on one gauge and the other gauge has intake air temp (in manifold) and also ignition advance. The gauges each have 2 aux inputs also which I will be hooking up fuel pressure and trans temp sensors. You could hook anything up, even speaker amplifier temp or voltages!

User manual for those interested- Interceptor V3.0

I run a pole position tripod with autometer cobalt full sweep oil pressure, mechanical boost and a aeroforce scan gauge in the middle.

Aerforce scan gauge

Got the autometers from USA on ebay and the scan gauge from the site above, it plugs into your OBDII port and read just about anything, you can set it up to cycle through readings. I have mine cycling through intake temp, coolant temp, head temp and trans temp.
