My bf2 springs showed signs of float at 17psi, then after 12months started to float at 14-15. I then fitted 3.5 dump to the hi flow cat with no over mods. Got a re-tune done and it made 314rwkw at 15psi. The peak power only increased 10rwkw which doesnt sound much but it picked up 40rwkw in the middle which makes so much difference. The car now feels so much faster when it comes on boost. I say go for it. Still running stock valve springs. 1 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/81302-4-dump-will-it-help-take-the-load-off-valve-springs/page/2/#findComment-1275563 Share on other sites

Why would you worry about the exhaust? I'm making 350+rwkw with a stock dump and exhaust, only upgraded cat. 1 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/81302-4-dump-will-it-help-take-the-load-off-valve-springs/page/2/#findComment-1275617 Share on other sites

Just wondering what the PSI limit is with the BFll springs and is there much risk of valve damage etc?We had 420kw out of it on the dyno with the same springs.Never really thought much more about it until reading this.Im with you I have seen over 400rwkw with BF valve springs on at least 6 cars with no problems what so ever.Who is tuning your car? Something is not right mate. You have a BF manual and only 300RWKW with all the mods in your signature? - Personally I think something else is wrong, I think its your fuel pump pressure relief valve. Good luck with it! The power won't go anywhere it will just come on harder at a higher rpm.
