These are its mods :-k&n filterfpv cold air intakesiemens injectors (not sure on size)upgraded wastegate actuatoratomic valve springs3.5" aps full stainless exhaustprocess west front mount intercoolercapa flash tuner direct clutches semi button clutchbosch 044and that gives me a modest 327kw at the wheels =)Now for my dilema, It was tuned to 15psi but it keeps spiking between 15 and 20 anywhere between half and WOT and it concerns me as im not keen on spitting a rod or melting pistons. I called up the last owner and he told me it started spiking after he replaced the cat converter as the last one collapsed, but that doesnt sound right. can a cat cause boost spikes? What are my options here? would it be best to take it to a tuner to have a look at its tune or could the wastegate be faulty? I did have an idea to install a boost controller and set to 15 to help control the spike but have read the ecu doesnt like it.Any input would be greatly appreciated!!! Book it in for a retune mate.

Impellor Member 835 Member For: 14y 7m 7d Gender: Not Telling Posted 02/08/12 07:41 AM Share Posted 02/08/12 07:41 AM It is always advisable to retune with any cat replacement, even if it is the same cat as the old one, as a new one will always be less restrictive than old one. Find out who did the last tune, and take it back to them for a touch up tune. As they will/should have previous tune files saved. It will save you time and money if it is possible. Id bet my left nut (biggest one) the cats your problem. While your at it find out what injectors you have. Will give you an idea if E85 is a future option for you. The first owner had all the mods done and had it tuned at cv performance in nsw so im not that keen on driving 1000ks away for a touch up tune lol. Is there any reputable capa tuners in bris who can help me out? being too busy I havent really had a good look at the engine bay yet but when I do, is it possible to check injector size on the injector themself? e85 does sound tempting

They might give you the info you need on the injectors and anything else so you can make life a little easier for the next tuner Edited 02/08/12 08:07 AM by _Velocity_

U set it to your boost level u want that's max boost and if it boost spikes the OVERBOOST valve releases the excess boost kinda like a bov. There a awesome bit of kit and good insurance against engine damage. Check the NIZPRO web page out , there on Facebook to man
