GTEXXED Banned Banned 910 Member For: 12y 5m 27d Gender: Male Posted 19/08/12 12:57 AM Author Share Posted 19/08/12 12:57 AM Few little updates, ran the car last month for a 11.9@120+mph,60ft was 1.85 on shagged 265/35/18 cum hoes.best mph was 122 and all times were done shifting into 3rd at 100kmh/r after backing off fully to let it engage 3rd gear.Ill be going again this weekend to try get a 11.6 or 11.7 on the std BTR.I decided a four inch intake was needed to help the GTX spool better so made on that looks identical to the P/West intake piping but with larger filter, still yet to box it up and aint in any rush.Havent had it retuned but some data logging gave the all clear to soldier on without a tune up.The old tune had the pump maxed out and the injectors making up the needed fuel so with the added 044/surgetank its fed the higher duty cycle perfectly and isnt lean even though an extra 10hp or so is their imo.She now spools much quicker so torque is up noticeably also. Now,I have only had ku31s on for the last horsepower round and full throttle in 2nd needed to be over 100kmh/r otherwise it would wheelspin in the dry.The other week I fitted some 255/40/18 Invos and farrrrk me,I can now hit 2nd WOT and 80kmh/r and feel some traction in an area never felt before....the front wants to lift a little haha and the rear squats like no tomozza. So,this leaves me to one area that apparently needs attention,my 3" exhaust.Im thinking of getting a custom 4" made up that reduces down to 3.5" over the diff then back into 4".This setup would have a 5" body 100cpsi cat and rear muffler only.Thoughts???????Managed to get my cousin into drag racing with his Toyota Chaser 2.5 vvti automatic.Had the valvebody modified last week and installed a Tomei 2way and 3.9 gears for him, damn those centres are heavy. He was open wheeling last meeting but still went 13.9@102.7mph from 194rwkw(heinrich dyno).hopefully he can get a 13.2ish at 103-4mph this weekend coming.
