GTEXXED Banned Banned 910 Member For: 12y 5m 27d Gender: Male Posted 31/07/12 12:45 AM Share Posted 31/07/12 12:45 AM Had my turbo tuned with the gtx and proper cooler not to long ago and made the power asked for at a certain boost level easilly,still has room for more timing if needed/wanted.to be honest,at the 15-16psi im using the GTX just isnt in its "hero" zone yet,17psi is where she starts to shine over the std puffer.Made 370rwkw@17psi early on so 20rwkw per added psi hopefully will run true upto my 20psi limit:)I have had the smaller FG turbo on this also but the GTX is by far the best for my needs.Power was made through a stall but that has now expired leaving me now running a stock 4speed trans for the time being.With a bit of respect shortshifting into 3rd im able to at least still run her at the drags,still slips but not as bad as WOT into 3rd,just wont select the gear at all.Exhaust and intake are holding the turbo back a little so theirs still room for good/easy improvements.A big thanks to Bruce Heinrich for his wand waving so to speak and charging what imo is not enough for his work.Another thanks to Sam at SA Race and Mike and Chris at my miss's familys dyno centre West Torrens Dyno:)Mods are as follows....:GTX3582r turbo:3.5" split pipe dump into 3" exhaust rest of the way(yep,smaller than factory lol):7psi actuator and std wastegate port:2.75" intake to turbo(old plastic piece off std xover into turbo compressor lol)into 3" exposed SCA pod:Rapid 500x400x90 cooler with std hotside piping:Walbro gss340 intank and P/West Surgetank:60lb dekkasCar is tuned on 100 octane e10.Peak power was made at 140kmh/r and held to 170kmh/r nearly.managed to see a consistant 30mph halftrack speed last meet with a stock trans slipping so im really wrapped with the gtx's form!
