Had a good laugh today, I had a job to do but couldnt fit the box in the xr6t so the boss gave me his keys to his commonhore wagon, well I loaded her up and headed off and there was a little bit of power then just all noise no touqe what so ever and the thing felt like it wanted to shake it self apart, next gear same thing. I went 15km then pulled over and got out to see if it had 3 cylinder or 4 cylinder stickers on the side, it was a v6, HAHAHAHA nearly coughed up a lung laughing HAhahaha

That's exactly my opinion! My mates VS V6 ute is a bucket of bolts, you floor the gas and the engine screams but you don't really seem to be going any harder. I realised this before I got my T as well, when I had an EF.

Bet hes like my inlaws

To gutless to have a go

Flog the cr@p out of him

If it happens please post result

Sure will!

My brother in law has a VXII SS (225kw), and I'm sick of all the sh!t coming out of his mouth! Can I beat him? He's of the opinion he will win because he has traction control, as I understand it a little wheel spin makes a faster time rather than no wheel spin at all. Personally I don't think getting traction in my auto ute will be any problems.

Any of you guys had a run with any similar cars?

I'm looking forward to putting him in his place, if I can!

TC... TC impedes the cars performance. I remember reading somewhere about some of the T times with and without TC, and I think there was consistantly upto 0.5 sec difference on the quarter mile (TC was slower obviously). Buggered if I remember where I saw that. (one of the topics in here somewhere).

Seems that some of these crummydore/magnadore/whatever, seem to keep on bragging about straight line rubbish. But seriously, how well do they go in the twisty bits? I remember after the bundanoon cruise, went through some twisty bit s on the way back to Canberra, about 4hrs non stop twisty bit etc driving, and at the end of it I didn't feel fatigued at all. I wonder how I'd be in a crummydore, I'd probably have a broken ankle by the halfway mark because of the "state of the art" TC..

IMHO the only real, trully good TC is in a BMW m3 (haven't driven one, but friends who went to a BMW driver training course recon they are the best, I agree).. oh and they have launch control ;) This bit a little OT, but if I had the money, an BMW M3 would be my ride.

Oh yeah, last week, dropped into some relatives house for a visit on my way through Sydney. They then started the "why'd you get a FORD". "Expensive Daewoo are the best" etc (although their family car is a VN crummydore that looks and goes like a slug).. After this rubbish, they asked "Can you take us for a spin?". I just said "Nah, my car doesn't like you".. that was that. Oh and they said "the supercharged Late model camira S is way better than your car" I just knodded in agreement, then burst out laughing.. When I left, just turned off the TC, gave it a little and all I saw in the rear vision was a lot of dropped jaws. ;) I must add, they out of all the relo's I have (croatians seem to have plenty), they were the only ignorant ones. Most of the others (wrx, skyline etc drivers) seemed to like the T and never bagged it at all. Oh well.. enough useless rambling by me.

Had a run against a VX SS yesterday , which was covered in all manner of ricey stickers and sounded modded ..... no contest , the T by plenty , so shouldnt be any probs for you.

Well that's all the encouragment I need! Let's just see if he can walk the walk as well as he talks the talks!

Has your bro-in law walked or talked yet al? I'm thinking after you sh*te on him he'll be rather quiet. If he gets the better of you I'll tell my mate he needs to get his VY SS ute looked at as it's slow by comparison to a T!!
