Modified XRTs are quick, granted, having owned a genuine 12 second T, I know, but dont write off the LS1 boys so quickly. I just bought a new One Tonner with a GenIII, changed the diff ratio and converter, left the engine completely stock (stock headers etc) and first time out ran a 12.89 second pass with a wet kerb weight of 1700kg. that's some food for thought! Faster than anything here save for APS and NIZPRO....and that's before it gets modded. Sorry I'm no car expert but isn't changing a diif ratio and converter a "mod" and wouldn't that produce similar results in a xr6turbo, by the way I think some of the Holdens especially the vx series clubbies are very nice, monaro's etc, if they didn't have the oil consumption issues they would still have a great reputation, but it has been tainted a bit

Correct, but I'd rather have my brakes machined a few times than my near new engine rebuilt

Can I beat him? He's of the opinion he will win because he has traction control, as I understand it a little wheel spin makes a faster time rather than no wheel spin at all. Personally I don't think getting traction in my auto ute will be any problems. Any of you guys had a run with any similar cars? I'm looking forward to putting him in his place, if I can!
