there is no rule, pretty much anything that affects total air flow will have an affect on boost, if the tune is in closed loop boost control, then the ecu will keep the boost as it was but the error will be higher, if in open loop and air flow is increased then boost will rise and really needs to be corrected to suit rather than risk damage, but increasing air flow to the turbo may not increase total airlfow if there are other restrictions, I.e cooler, exhaust etc

have tested a clean FG stock filter against a K&N filter on a car making approx 315 rwkw, no benefit with the K&N over the stock one, have not done the same comparison with a BA/F filter though, but can't see there being too much difference

yeah, well I cannot understand why the filter is clogged and its new? I mean like you cannot blow through the thing, same with other one that was in it, also its ryco brand. White papery material. I was always under the impression that if air cannot get or is restricted then car wilnot go as good and chew more fuel

when you say blow threw it are you meaning an air gun or just you blowing through it. It probably isnt going to be noticeably just blowing threw it with your mouth, I wouldnt expect it to be blocked. Is there anyother reason you want to change the intake.

hmm well even if I put it up close and blow througfh it I cannot really feel any air at all, which like I said it feels like its blocked, and would like a better flowing filter and I have a pod that is easyly able to blow through it

I have the growler airbox setup inmy ute, it has greatly increased the air flow into the motor but it wont over boost due to the cat in the exhaust and the dump pipe still being standard. if the turbo cannot spool up any quicker or harder than the factory tune has allowed then ou wont have any problems. so if you wanna go with the pod setup then maybe afterwards just get a checkup on the dyno purely to make sure its not pulling lean under boost..
