ok so got my ba xr6 t back after having it retuned by kpm to fix a boost problem, it made 288 at the wheels but now its having a problem with what they said either spark break down or maybe valve springs!

what does everyone think? could it be that the plugs need to be gapped/replaced "were replaced 15,000 ago" or maybe the coils? or valves?

car has a bigger front mount and new pipe work

bigger injector

and a growler induction kit

bigger waste gate actuator

and a tune running 13 psi

Most likely valve springs, did they regap your plugs down more, that could be worth trying if they didn't.

nah plugs havent been touched that I know of what gap should they have and what is the stock gap?, what the car is doing is hitting boost then struggling to really go?

You can try gapping the plugs less and see how it is, otherwise I'd be going by what Kpm have said and change valve springs, my valve springs were playing up at 277rwkw.

Bf's, and Typhoons to Fg's can get away with a lot more power on std springs

There's a few out there, there's crow, atomic, nizpro, just ask Kpm and see what they recommend.

You cant buy plugs with a smaller gap, you have to gap them yourself.

And springs definately arent a 5 minute job either. Id just leave it with KPM, they will have experience in replacing valve springs.

you can buy iridium plugs gapped to .8mm, better than regapping them
