couple things

standard BA xr6t with x force cat back system

a while back I had this problem and its doing it again, basically whencomming on boost a bit (not hard) and backing off slightly the car just starts missing really bad so I have to pull over to side of road and while still missing badly, turn car of and on staright away and then it dirves fine, have been told valve springs or coils as it feels like its droped 2 cylinders!!! also sometimes after driving hard it has a rough idle but nothing compared to it missing like it did!

only done this twice, and has come on boost allot of other times without a problem

anyone have any ideas?

also ive noticed that when I stop and go like at the traffic lights as I take foot off accelerator while accelerating slowly, I take foot off and it seems like theres a slight hunch in speed......but my foots off accelerator so car kinnda goes vroom quickly for a second after taking foot off, mainly when cold

cheers

I guess so. That's what mine were like when they failed. I haven't experienced what soft valve springs are like as I've already upgraded mine but what your'e describing sounds like the symptoms.

I just didn't think it happened to standard cars.

hmm, have kept eye on boost guage and it only reads 5-6psi everytime. can I check the springs with a compression guage? also how do you check the acuator? and yeah will getit checked, how much should it cost to get checked? and would the computer diagnostic be able to tell if its over boost or springs etc?

throght FPV was same? oh well so if I put a 12psi actuator on would I need a tune?

went to ford today, 70 bucks to put on diagnosti and see what it says, he was pretty helpfull, said valve springs would do it all teh time, however not ruleing them out, could be coil but again not ruling that out, said if coil was f*cked would show up on diagnostic same as TPS said maybe vacum leak but yeah will be booking it in so then I can rule out teh basics, also could be faulty VCT sensor/s?
