Not as much of a rip-off as Tap King...genius marketing that sucks in all the sheep.

I.e. Snotters purchase above was I'm guessing around $50 for 6.4 litres. A carton of stubbies is $40 for 9 litres. Factor in the cost of the dispenser and wastage and it gets funnier.

And the shelf life on kegs is a lot shorter. It's only about five weeks on a commercial keg from memory and a week or two once it's cracked. Assume the mini kegs would be similar.

Moral of the story is...buy stubbies/cans and pour it into a glass you fckn nancies.

Another tapking owner reporting in. Got mine before they were announced to the public though.

Pic of Lionel is a nice touch.

Howd they fit the piano in the fridge? :crazystuff:

I had to throw my tub of meso out, cause it went clumpy too.

These days you're better off taking no-doz than the pre workouts. They've just replaced the dmaa with caffeine (I think).

I did crunch the numbers and at home the 2 kegs and dispenser was $53 then from memory just the 2 kegs was around $35. More expensive then cans or stubbies but you get to tell people you have beer on tap, no doubt the novelty will wear off eventually...

I was going through this thread and was about to buy one until I saw tabs post. Here comes the accountant to ruin all the fun. Surely you could get 9L out of one keg tab, come on.

Yes. Just hold the glass straight and about 50 cm below the tap. That way you'll get at least double the volume.

It's a lost opportunity for Lion...they could really stitch-up their market share if it was priced properly by getting their proprietary cradle in everyone's fridges and locking out the competitor(s). But for now it's just a novelty.

Also the perceived change in 'taste' from keg beer comes from aroma, pour any beer in a glass and it'll be more enjoyable.

But ignore all that. It's pretty cool so get on to it biatches. :buttrock:

I guess my question is:

Extra Dry is good.. Extra Dry on Tap is way better..

Same goes for Boags..

SO does it taste as good as on tap at the pub? Or does it just taste like a bottle poured into a glass..

I remember when this was announced a while back that all the publicans were raging that this was against an agreement they had and that they were shoiting themselves that everyone was going to stop going to the pub for draft beer.
