A friend of mine has a 06 GT and found rust under his R boot lip, under the tray that holds the sub and speakers. I checked mine and found rust in the same place. Not much but it was there. I checked with another mate with a 07 phoon, and we found rust in the same area.I took mine into ford today, apparently theres a defect with some of the BFs with the sealant used on the boot lips leading to rust. They are covering it under warranty and replacing the lip and sealant.I highly recommend ppl with BFs to check and get it covered before warranty ends. Might be too late for some, but late 07 is still covered. I think its 5 years.
