I'm going to take my stock ones out and polish them.

Have you considered the thermodynamics benefits of getting the springs powered coated black? better heat rejection, thus they won't go as soft? Or mix a teaspoon of concrete into your engine oil, helps the spring harden up??

I thought "the rule" was 6/06 and onward bfii's had better internals...

Mines a 3/06 series 1. So figured it had BA components going by that. And if so, 370rwkw on stock valve springs is a decent effort @ 148,000kms
