I have been looking at the bf's prices and specs and wonder what peoples options are between the two.The Fg is more money but would I be better off saving a bit more to get one or with the savings buy a Bf and tweek it a little?.Also ex cop cars. Would you touch one and if not what are your concerns?. I'm looking for a 6 speed zf auto at this point but I have heard a few disaster stories of the been a bit unpredictable and spitting people off the road. Is there any fact to this?.I would like an auto as it would be faster than a manual.Hope I have not babbled on too much and it makes sense.Cheers

Also most people say they look tougher.FG's are nice, come with more power as stock and much quicker spool from the smaller turbo so for your street driving they're probably better.Depends which you prefer really, you could definitely buy a BF cheaper and spend the difference (probably about 5-7k or so) and make it a street weapon (300 - 350rwkws). Comes down to which one you like better.FG owners (like Mark) will say get an FG, BA/BF owners will say what I've said lol

So if I were to go the bf it sounds like I could do a lot worse.I have pretty much ruled out ba's as if im going to upgrade I'll get one with the trans I want and the stronger rods. I sometimes regret buying another T as at the moment money is tight, but in the end the money you spend is well worth it

Smaller turbo is amazing, your basically always in boost so very rarely do you experience any turbo lag. Personally I love the look of the FG, just looks newer and sleeker. In terms of interior theres some major upgrades, especially coming from the speedo. But at the end of the day I was going to get a BFII because $20k was my budget then this came up

Jesus that's a good price! Was it ex lease or something? Bf mk2 with some cash for mods sounds like a decent option, otherwise FGs are sweet, I've got an FG and probably biased but I think it looks a bit nicer too, but that could just be cause it's newer. You'll be happy no matter which way you go.Good luck!

Pick either one, as long as its a Ford.

I definately got a decent deal because I been searching for 18 months for a T, but yea with a bit of patience stuff like this does come up. I am also somewhat biased because I have an FG but it does have a few little goodies that the B series doesn't have and if your not looking to mod straight up, the extra 30kws coming on boost earlier really keeps you happy, especially if your upgrading from NA lol
