But if only doing basics then yeah the GT.

However the luscious noise of the GT will bring continous pleasure.

Whilst , I 've been awaiting for the 'defnitive' reason as to why I should one way or the other (mind you - I do not think that there is one!) , I have spend numerous visits to a number of dealers in a effort to sort out a deal - be it, with the trade or without .Interesting , when I commenced the process - I had dealers offer me $27k as a trade on a $75k GT335 , then the $75k became $69k and now , I am able to secure a GT335 for around low-mid $60's.- pending whether it is or isn't equipped with sat-navAs I was trailling through the forum , I noticed that this very discussion was raised either , and , many of the F6 and XR6 Turbo drivers all gave very good reasons why they would continue with the Turbo should they updated - Agree - 5.4Lt was never a option - however , the new 5lt Supercharged is so 'turbo' with the added benefit of being factory stock and sounding great (insurance is a important factor in the purchase process).Interesting , I have not been able to locate , a forum trail on anyone whom has purchased a GT335 coming from a turbo - whom had the same 'decision concerns as I' and has been able to confirm after some time now whether the decision , having driven the car for sometime now (outside the initial honeymoon period) was correct or not .Love to hear from members whom 're driving a GT335 having come from the turbo and whether they would re-consider their decision , if they were able to ? Also , what , would they 've done different now , against then .. (ie Arkayne - Mar 2011)The forum helped me so much in 2008 when I purchased the FPV F6 - I was looking at XR6 Turbo or FPV Eight and the members at the time - stated to go in the direction of the F6 - I did , and happy to say - I have never looked back - and sworn until very recent , I would never go back to the Eight as a 'factory stock' car - but this 5lt Supercharged with a GT badge is something else .Opps .. also noticed, saddly , that there have been some GT335 owners whom have had major problems with the 'engine' - reasons still unknown - should I be concerned ? - What are some steps I should take to minimise this risk ? - (ie .. should I puchase a demo rather then new with o k's ?)Many , many thanks in advanceRoss

I bet they'd be pricey though.

So do you think you'll buy new or hunt around for something with a couple for km on it?Apparently one of the newer supercharged 5.0L's will come out intercooled too. I'd wait for a month or so and see how that will turn out if you think you can afford it.
Spinning Donating Members 348 Member For: 15y 6m 13d Posted 24/07/12 11:11 PM Author Share Posted 24/07/12 11:11 PM Good Morning RbjetAs expected the preferred dealers are playing 'games'.. So , I 've decided to sell my car privately , rather than take a hit on price at both ends , and after I achieve that , I will then re-approach the market and endeavour to do a 'deal'. Agree - after reading the article in 'Motoring'.. the release in Aug 2012 is a better car , however , I guess at a better price . Although , my car is not a daily driver , after selling my car, I will not be a hurry to purchase, and my priority will be price (*my wife and family are doing a number on me, asking why I am selling the F6 - when I don't even drive it , and then spending more money only to leave the GT at home - they would mind as much if I drove it everyday*)With the new release, I am hopeful that the current Mk II may come down in price further , and I hope I may be able to score a new one under the $60k mark .. Currently available are demo/used GT with 2 - 8,000k's asking high $50's..I have a dealer in Melb - whom has the demo car with 3,000k's - white, auto, stripes, sat nav and leather - asking $64's... and will most likely take $60's after AugustMy other problem , having now firmed on the GT , is whether to purchase a manual again or go auto .. The auto is so nice .......but not as much fun as the manual when you 're in the mood to driveMany thanks in advanceRoss

The GT other than the noise just didnt do it for me where as soon as I jumped in the F6 and gave it some throttle I was like f*ck yeah that's more like it!Dont get me wrong I love V8's (I still have my 347 windsor powered XP coupe that fills my V8 needs) but the modern day ones just dont stir the soul like the old clevo's and windsors.Hell even my old man whos a "nothing like a V8" kind of bloke has really warmed to my F6 and how well it goes and how bloody good it is on fuel considering the distances I drive and the belting it gets
