Spinning Donating Members 348 Member For: 15y 7m 28d Posted 12/07/12 11:53 PM Share Posted 12/07/12 11:53 PM Good MorningI am currently driving a BF FPV F6 Manual Ute , and have been thinking seriously about letting it go, and moving into a 'auto' - opps I said it - **auto** , and have test driven both the FG Mk II F6 and GTSome years ago , I owned a GT Phase 2 , and I am still emotionally attracted to the GT badge , and that 5lt supercharged engine with matching note via both the engine and exhaust system - certainly puts a enourmous smile on the dail .The current 5lt - offers so much more than the previous 5.4lt - it is very much 'turbo like' in performance , operating well in sleep and race mode, with very little input and or delay .. The 5.4lt has a exhaust note , but struggles to light up my smile like the 5.0lt .So .. is the $10k ($56k F6 or $66k GT) increase in spend , worth it ...........noting , that it would be very, very, unlikely that I will modify the car .Alternative , to add further fuel to the decision, should I wait , and see whether their will be further price falls in range .. Interestingly, it appears , you are able to bargin a better deal on a GT-P with all the extra's - low $70k.. than you 're with the GT and then spec it up with stripes , leather , sat nav, etc .. and with the GT-P you get bigger brembo on the rear and those bigger winged seats in the GT-P .. although reading the forum - these seems to be a spilt - 50/50 in whether the bigger seats are preferred to the seats in the GTLove to hear your thoughts , as your input is very much appreciated in advanceRoss

It may not be as fast as a Turbo'd Falcon but with a tune and that exhaust noise who cars.

They don't come in the ute as the chassis just can't handle it. GS Utes are restricted compared to te sedans. Probably the only ford that makes the quoted number and not more. The deciding factor for me was I've owned a turbo and wanted to try something different so went the GT. Power delivery is completely different and the sound is awesome.Benny.
