Well, went down to see the boys at Croydon Racing in Silverwater to check out the quality of installations of APS systems.

Very impressed with the quality of their work and then one of the guys offered a drive around the block in the passenger's seat in their Phase II Ute.

I was thinking - the power will be better than the standard T, but nothing too mad. Boy, I was wrong. The guy dropped the cluth and the car wheels span like you wouldn't believe and then the rush of acceleration was like nothing Ive even seen before - and that was just first gear <_<

The car went so fast I actually asked him to slow down. I couldn't believe the power in the car and what you actually get for $5K. When the Turbo kicks in the car just goes ballistic.

I'm going to get one of these fitted as soon as ecomonically possible, but I have worrying thoughts about the missus driving this thing. It's seriously a weapon that can be extremely dangerous in inexperienced hands.

Well, hats off to APS for their product, and I guess to Ford for making such a potent engine in the T.

Still the fact that the car with a 5K aftermarket mod can become so bloody powerful makes me think why Ford didn't do their own APS system and just sell the car at a higher price. Is it because of the strain of the extra KW on the drivetrain and car in general or issues with releasing such a powerful car as stock in australia?

Damn, I feel like going back now and asking for another ride

If you have a sedan then the TC will save the worrying while SWMBO is driving. If you have a ute just don't let her near it unless you put a bit of wood under the accelerator pedal.

I personally think Ford de-tuned the T as it would've been quicker than the GT/GT-P, their top model, and some $20k cheaper.....also it leaves plenty of room for power increases for future models.

If the drive train can handle 300kw then that is the only reasonable explanation - they de-tuned the car. I hope its the case as Im taking my car to 330kw with the stage 2

I didn't drive the car, I was taken for a test drive to show the power of the Phase 2 Mod off.

Seems identical to the normal T in terms of ride, just a sheet load more power.

IMO best $5K anyone could spend on a car. Can't wait to do a few more Ks on the car and get it done early next year

If u have a auto, there is no way it will handle the power. make sure u get it checked out by a third party and not some lieing ford dealer befor u have it booked in. I got screwed even though I reported the problem befor. FoMoCO are obviously trying to recoop some of their 500000000 in developing the BA so they will do anything posible to avoid warrany work.

Hi Owna,

Do you think your trans would have held up unde phase II if it didn't have the original problem?

How are things going for you with your car? Are the repairs to be expensive and will you keep Phase II after the car is repaired?

What did you think of the phase II system?

thanks
