if you want a better sound from the FG ute remove the centre muffler and replace with twin pipes..... exhaust places will be able to do it and should only cost you $100-$150.

Can also buy a CAI and install it yourself for under you $600 price tag and will give it a much louder spool sound also if that's what your after

As irmcdowell said,

Replace one muffler with straight through pipes. AS LONG AS ITS MANUAL. I have rear muffler delete with twin 2.5 and it's a bolt in bolt out section. 4 inch intake and it already sounds amazing to me! Loud spool and a very decent note for a 6 :D

Get a k&n panel filter and a vcm tune.. You dont need an xcal unless you want it for the zf tune or to change tunes

^ this, saves you plenty and especially if you just want a tune without the mods, you won't need to switch between tunes.

On the B series, I'm pretty sure the biggest factor is the injectors, need to go to atleast 42lb to get over 250/260kw. Then is the cat. Not sure on FG's though

Yeah 270 flywheel, then depending on manual/auto you get about the above.

If you 100% only want this initial tune done, you really don't need the xcal3. Chances are though you'll want to mod further down the line and the Xcal will be needed anyways. It's usually about 799 for the Xcal, and 600odd for the first tune (depends where you go and how long it takes them to tune it. With no mods it shouldn't be too hard).
