Yep I was fairly unimpressed with the welding and fitment when I bought it a couple of years ago and said as much when I first started commenting on the forum.

Fark knows.

It's just one more thing to add to the neverending list of car maintenance.

Speaking of which, those ball joints that I fitted a while ago with the blue dust covers have split already. It'll be genuine next time I think.

Got the pump out last night. Does the Walbro just sit in there with the rubber friction? The new filter does not have a clip up dohicky like the old one.
Now I gotta try find a replacement fuel hose before the shops shut. 8ab01ac426fb4fa0b98adf65cdb97fb6.jpg

I chopped the cradle where the bottom of the pump is so it would shut properly without the pump jamming into the base. I adjusted the piece of hose to get the pump height right. I also left the return hose alone so I didn't have to replace it.

That's in a sedan though and that's the way I wanted to do it. I don't know if the ute is the same.

Well this is the best hose I could find in town, literally checked everywhere. Fuel rated with the same pvc coating inside & out. Might have to order the proper stuff & come back to replace it another day.
& I'm sorta hoping that black is negative & grey is positive with the wiring ?9010a54fe3bb590933c9ed6cebdd762d.jpg

Yea it was $3.25 with 2 hose clamps.
I normally have everything prepared before I do a mod but with the forums down exactly when I was organising its all gone to sh*t lol

Got a link on where I can buy it?

Also got a quote back today which I thought was a bit steep. How much Labor is involved installing oil pump gears, valve springs, Cams, & head studs?
