The original does not have that mark. An unfortunate compression artifact. Let's move on, shall we?

No. I have no doggie in this scrap. 

 

Not all the way through to the diffuser but through the thread and flange. 

 

I'd still run it though.

still running it - sounds good, as it's already back on the car haha :)

 

can you please elaborate on whether your solution in the other thread would solve my cross-threaded bolt or do I need to re-tap the hole?
