turns out I probably should have mounted this amp in the boot. that's okay as this can be bridged and run a sub and ive got another 4ch amp that'll do speakers which is much smaller.

im so happy I had a spare 8pin GPU plug from a computer power supply! (the red thing you see plugged in on this end, the 8 wires are all four speaker outputs from stock ICC).

Johnny... put some plastic or metal shroud around where people's feet will kick the amp. Have seen some get destroyed rather quickly from people's feet.

think the idea is move this amp to the boot and get a sub! then I can drive around all like: doof doof doof doof doof doof and  I should print out a A4 P plate from the DOT website and display that on the car while I'm crusing the cappaccino strip of fremantle playing songs that only seem to have the one note  - doof doof doof doof doof doof doof doof doof doof doof doof doof.

It finally got cool enough to work on the car by 7:30 this evening.

I went outside, dropped the engine oil and starting taking my turbo off.

After an hour I had one bolt left and the missus comes out and asks, "Is that the new one"?

I replied, "I wish I could take off a turbo and set up and fit the new one in an hour".

I got the old one off anyway so the new one will go on tomorrow.

Did you take the manifold off?

Reason I ask is I've got an awol stud. It's the one behind the actuator. Would really like to put that back in there someday. Just looks like the best way would be to remove the manifold or take the rest of the nuts off and fit the stud and start again.

No I left it on.

You could be a slack arse and just put a bolt in there with a split washer or nord lock washer.

You can do it up from underneath with a socket then uni bit then extension then ratchet.
