Yeah, I tested them out on the drive back from cricket tonight.

The original lights were low on the road and needed re-aiming, so putting these lights in the same location was obviously going to cause the light to be low on the road. But it's still miles ahead of the halogen lights :spoton: with a correct aim to compare against, it should be epic, as is usual for HID's.

Looking forward to this up and coming S.A cruise. Met another one of the S.A members ( Spoolax) the other night. Really good bloke. Be good to meet the rest of you lads in person.

Put some faces to profile names. :happyfriends:

See ya guys, I'm outta here.:wavey:

annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd they're installed :yikes: (all 10 work fine, although I stuffed one up trying to solder it into the rear reading lights, so I've only got 1 spare instead of the 2 I was expecting)

The switches on these map lights were a bit touchy, so I put some cotton wool into the part where the spring goes to prop up the steel balls a few mm to push a little harder on the metal contacts (that were partially worn away) for the switch.

The rear reading lights are BA9S connectors instead of T10 so I ended up soldering up a custom joint method. Reading this, I'm glad I had T10's anyway, as the negative isn't in the wrong spot on my custom solder joint method :spoton: #winning (means it works as intended - on as a "interior light" on the "back" position and when switched forward it turns them on for reading. Also the switch had worn away on these, so again I used some cotton wool to prop up the switch lever mechanism to sort out the switches.

The rest of the globes went in totally fine with no hassles, as expected.

Passenger side parker globe (definitely needs some plastic restoration as you can see here):

Can't wait to see it all at night :) The main "dome" light looks out of place, now haha... so do the fog lights (never use 'em) and the high beams (who cares, because nobody is ever going to see it for long like that).
