Yeh I was in a rush last night and forgot to buy a terminal brush...so I only wiped the insides with a cloth. Maybe that was it....

And yeh the superchump upsold some weird glue stuff to stop the terminals getting "white gunk" (you can see the ohmo fabric ring things in the pic).

I'll go buy that brush and do it again. It hasnt stalled since, but could be other unrelated issue. Cheers

Why would you go and buy a fancy brush when you can just use steel wool?

Silly bugger spending to much time looking for new wheels instead of thinking.

Well I blatantly admit to zero mechanical skills....so I should get half a point for at least managing to do it myself? Even if it wasnt perfect lol

I have this spare from random project....will it suffice? Or will it be too fine (legit question).

Need new rims now as well?

Nope. In the next 6 months probably if I sell these ones to someone else. Next ones will be keeping for a while I rekon.

fark man just try it? lol. Will be fine, ive used a terminal screwdriver to rough up the posts and inside of the terminals, smashed it down, job done. Dont however, touch the steel wool between the posts.....Sandpaper would probably work, wire brush..etc.

It's just to clean the contacting surfaces so there's a good connection, so yea it will be fine. The spray they tried to sell you is to coat the terminals and stop any corrosion or oxidisation buildup on them.

Cos fancy pancy brush is a tool, and we all know more tools = more manhood.

"I wish I didn't have so many tools"  said no man EVER
