Wood is free and comes from trees. 100m lift.

What profile are your rear tyres Arron? 30 or 35?

Cool thanks!

If I ever sell my twisties one day might look at those wheels (always wished I could afford the genuine axis version, but the cheap ones will do).

How'd you go towing the boat? Is your FG auto or manual?

Only reason I ask is that my father in law has given me a boat similar size and I am debating weather to put a towball on my FG ute or get a cheap 4wd to tow it.

What did I do to my car today( or over the last 2 weeks)?

Painted and fitted a XR8 bonnet

Fitted some 6.5" Hertz speakers to front doors and covered the door in Dynamat

Discovered rear speakers have been swapped for some JL Audio 2ways. Pulled them out and put a heap of Dynamat behind there.

Fitted a slim line 12" Kicker sub and amp

Chucked on a SS Inductions BigMouth CAI.

Painted the middle bottom section of the front bar black.

Next up is paint the wheels black, apart from the sh*t offset on the FG ute I really like the look of the stock Snowflake rims. Still undecided on lowering or not, I hate seeing the big gap in the wheel guards but on the other hand I bought the ute to get dirtbike about and low utes on bumpy gravel roads suck.

Awesome car for towing, mine is auto

I use manual mode when towing just so the auto doesn't up shift to early

I had 6 adults (tight squeeze in the rear) in the car and the boat behind and one of my mates says he couldn't even tell the boat was behind us

If you just drive sensibly the fuel economy barely changes

Falcons love towing, even more when they are turbo

Good idea with the bars, should make a couple more and sell them for $50 each haha

Did cross my mind.

Might post up dimensions in case anyone else wants to make a set

Get a fourby if it's a decent sized boat and you can afford it.. otherwise you have to pick and choose which ramp to launch at. My dad got stuck wheelspinning in his work car with his old boat which was 18ft runabout and had to get a stranger with a land cruiser to pull the boat out for us.. he went and bought a pajero after that

Yeah very true, if you ever have to go on a dirt ramp

But as far as towing it A to B using a sedan or ute is no worries
