Did all the wiring today for the surge tank pumps and battery in the boot.

15amp wiring to trigger the relay....8g from the battery to the relay.....8g from relay then to the pumps with a 50amp fuse.....8g was also used for the pump earth wire.

0g was used for the power cable and two 0g earth wires along with new terminals/BOSCH battery.

All wiring is routed behind the boot liners and under the sub cover to the surge tank pumps along with being secured every foot with some cable securing thingamajigs that also stick to the floor/liners.

As per all hoses in engine bay the wiring in boot has also been covered with some black mesh finish heat shrink that has a nice material look to it after attacked with the heat gun.

I'm getting a custom made battery bracket made up with my custom plates laser etched into the billet bracket and powder coated black.

Sounds like a well thought out design, pics would make it better

A lot of current flowing through all that

Are your relays 30amp ?

Did you do any calcs on required cable size? I'm running 8g from the main fuse box to the boot mounted battery. 5 mtrs all up and it's bang on for size/length to support the stater and body systems.

0g seems like quite a wieght penalty given what you intend to use the car for.

The 8g needs to support 3 460 Walbro pumps.

The extra weight wont impeed my daily driving duties.

Really Ralph? 8g would be pushing it if your running the surge wouldn't it?

There'd still be a voltage drop if you used 0g over that distance.

My battery is in the boot and with 0g I see 13.9V at a hot idle.....14.3 when cold.

I use welding cable also.
