Had my ZF serviced today at 68k for the fist time. Luckily it already had a steel pan from factory. Monsta Torque use Castrol Transmax Z. On the drive home there was no noticeable difference to shifting and apparently the oil that came out wasn't too bad. Not bad for a 7 year old car. Maybe getting it serviced every 60k will do just fine.

^^^hmmm , did these cars come from the factory with steel pans?

I was told when I bought my XR6t 08 that the box had never been serviced (known history) and it had 145,000kms on it.

But when I got it serviced it had a steel pan, the oil didn't look to bad, so I'd assumed it had been serviced before.

Interesting!

Some got steel, some got plastic. True Ford style! My BFII was plastic originally.

New battery today.

Went to start it yesterday and got the dreaded click click!

I've read this before and didn't give it any credit but I swear its running much smoother now.

The first couple of drives I kept saying to myself "it's all in your head" but after half a dozen run arounds I know for sure it is diffinitly running better.
