Then I used some liquid wax I had lying around, can't remember brand now sorry, but it came up really well. Would recommend a liquid wax - really convenient and easy to use.

We should have a forum detailing day in the future - Always up for a show-car clean vehicle.

Cheers,

Dan

Liquid wax is great. I use meguiars ultimate liquid wax it's so quick and looks pretty good and seems to last a fair while. Not as good as my dodo juice proper wax but pretty good and takes prob 1/4 the time.

I'd love to learn how to cut and polish a vehicle properly to get rid of the swirl marks. I have my mates random orbital but too scared to really go hard with a cutting pad in case I *beep* the paint

Lennox,

The clay bar definitely had an effect on some of the lighter swirls - Maybe it was the polish or a combination of the two?

There is definitely less 'spider-webbing' and light surface marking.

^^ Read, great things about the Ultimate liquid wax - Might give it a go next time :spoton:

Yeh it does help but pros can fully get rid of the swirls.. So if you shine a bright light on it or look at the reflection of the sun in it you can't see anything but a mirror like reflection ... That's what I want haha

get a respray ,no swirls and then park it in the lounge room . and I would recommend a air sealed glass box ( I could build that for you I am a glazier by trade )

just finished fitting a HDI cooler to a mates fg turbo ute .all went well except that they send one wrong aluminium pipe . ended up cutting it to suit and joining them together . it was a

kit that got send out from japan ,so we would have had to wait a long time to get replacement for it . will post pictures tomorrow .we also did a oil and filter change ,and cleaned the

K&N filter and re oiled it . on top of that my ute got used to trans port a mates pool table to his new house (f*cking heavy to lift ) so I ended up not even going for a test drive after

fitting the cooler . bugger wanted to see the difference it made

If that's, you want Terry from swissvax based out of Mandurah.

He flys all around Australia and overseas for clients.

Also Trains detailers techniques.

Couldn't believe some of the Swissvax wax's cost $10,000 for 300gm tub without labour etc!
