Cheers Mate. I'm in Albion Park now so will meet up and go for a spin up the pass when its all finished. I'm pretty certain I'm going to get Jason from southern motorworks to do the tune. He is literally 2 minutes down the road from me. I know he doesn't do as many xr6t's as other shops but he does have a sh*t tonne of experience and out of all the people I've talked to, no one can say a bad thing about him or about the cars he's tuned.

Cool ill see ya around more then and yeah for sure ill get some more of the gong people to come long. Im 99% sure Slymeat got his car done at Southern Motorworks and have no issues with.

How did you program the flip key Stazza ?? I know how to set the buttons to the car but doesn't it need a program as well ?

If you search you will find it. Basically you need both original keys for your car.

To program the key to the car (key itself not the buttons), sit in car with doors closed.

Insert first original key into ignition and turn to ACC, remove then insert second original key within 5 seconds and turn to ON. The car is now in program mode.

Now remove the second key and insert the new key and turn to ON within 5 seconds.

The door locks will cycle 3 times showing that a third key has been added to the car.

You can continue this up to 8 keys per car. Don't remove the keys till door lock cycles have completed.

To program the buttons on the remote. Insert original key into ignition and turn to ACC. Push rear demister 3 times within 5 seconds. Press a button on first original remote, door lock will cycle, then the same with remaining remotes. Then remove key from ignition.

Flip keys are available off eBay cheap but you have to get the right one. BA and BF use different chips inside and a BA chip won't work in a BF etc.

The BA Falcon uses a 4D60 chip and the BF uses a 4D63. Check the listing as it's usually listed. And BA and BF have different ignition barrels.

Then you must take your car to Ford for them to program up the second key. 1 key is not enough to program a second key.

You can attempt to fool the ignition transponder by wrapping the first key in foil and then putting it in the ignition as the "second" key and this occasionally works, but the process is fiddly and difficult to get right (you also have to be fairly lucky haha)

Had it detailed and some Modesta put on the new Rspec rear wheels I recently had painted to match my current wheels. Turns out the traffic cones I had an argument with on the weekend left spider web marks through the paint on part of the front bumper due to flexing from the impact...f*ck roadworks! :(

Oh and I booked the car into Monsta Torque for a log book service in October...went to Ford for the first 3,000 km inspection/service, but figure Rob and Darren deal with more of these sorts of cars than your average Ford dealership and I won't end up with an apprentice working on or thrashing my car.

Adelaide north

Edit: I have a second key, I just can't remember whether it's for my old falcon or this one :/ I remember I had to reprogram my old remote as this one didn't come with one, will have to check when I'm back in Adelaide
