Good timing arronm, I was only looking on eBay last night at gauge options.

These are the gauges I have now.te8etyhu.jpg

Why I want to change these is because their so dam bright( I've read the thread about dimming them) and they don't really match the other original dash gauges .

I had settled on a autometer cobalt boost gauge with vac like yours but only reads to 20 psi ( can't ever see myself going higher than that).abaraga5.jpg

So if autometer are no good then what are you guys recommendations?

I was going to hunt down some originals and put those in but they look a bit useless regarding info.

I always thought Autometer had a pretty good rep !!!

You need part 6103 for 30PSI

Even better is the stepper motor gauges. They will be more accurate. Part 6159.

Dont worry about Jet, he is just jealous as no one likes his K-mart gauges.

Ask anyone who has used a truck load of gauges across loads of dyno pulls across different dynos and I put my car on the fact autometer are out by a decent margin at least on boost as far as reading 2psi higher than actual

Super very well known fact in the tuning world, I even have used autometer loads of times and only settle for the crap because its a match colour wise when lights are on

Unless really expensive tools like dynos are reading wrong and the $100 autometer is correct............

Perhaps I was just lucky then? Autometer cobalt 20 (then a 30) PSI boost gauge matching the dyno run all the way through the rev range in any gear within 0.3 or so PSI (due to margin of visual error on the gauge itself). Pretty accurate if you ask me.

Seen them anywhere up to nearly bang on all the way to +2psi out on numerous occasions

Defi gauges are a nice accurate piece !!

I guess they are a reasonable middle of the road style gauge... defi are stupidly expensive and you'd expect it to work perfectly for the price you pay. For the price of autometer, they may not be perfect but certainly look good in our cars and work fine when installed properly.
